This link is useful to get an Ubuntu CD which is useful in both ways…
1.You can install it over windows
Just startup windows and browse the CD.
It gives directions with which we can install Ubuntu over Windows.
It requires a minimum of 4GB memory for the installation.
2.You can install it windows-independent too…
Insert the CD and restart the system.
Now follow the directions in the same way , all the other Linux Operating Systems opt to follow.
